The 300kph Dogfight (時速300キロのドッグファイト, Jisoku 300 Kiro no Doggufaito) is the ninth episode of the MF Ghost anime adaptation.

This episode also serves as the final episode of the "Round 1 Qualification and Race Arc" of the series.

Synopsis[]

Kanata danced his way into 9th place with an amazing run, overtaking Emile Hänninen and Jackson Taylor in the fog. Meanwhile, on the final Kamaboko straight, the top competitors engage in a dogfight at speeds exceeding 300 kph, and in the heat of the moment, Shun Aiba made a painful mistake. On the other hand, Kanata allowed Taylor's Porsche to pass him as soon as they entered the straight, initiating a one-on-one braking battle at the final corner. The 86 and Porsche lined up side-by-side. The long race is about to conclude before the eyes of Love.

Trivia[]

  • During the scene where the MFG calender was being shown off, Atami Ghost was the only course who's layout wasn't shown, likely due to the layout not being confirmed when this episode was in production.
  • An error can be found during the shot where Aiba overshoots the corner at the end of the Kamaboko Straight, as Yosuke Ohtani's Icon is Green instead of Siver.[3]
    • It is likely that the animators mixed-up the icons of his AMG GT S with his AMG GT R.
  • An error can be found during the award ceremony in the English Dub, where Nozomi says that she's the driver of the '16' car, despite her car's number actually being '18'.
