The Man in the No. 4 Car (4号車の男, 4 Gōsha no Otoko) is the seventh episode of the MF Ghost anime adaptation.
Synopsis[]
As the final race enters its second and last lap, excitement builds among viewers. However, Kouki Sawatari, who secured 4th place last year and is not participating this time, appears more focused on dating than on watching the race. Concurrently, Kanata falls back to 13th place during the hill climb. Ogata expresses concerns about the tire management of the Toyota 86, but Kanata declares his determination to achieve a higher ranking. After engaging in repeated battles with the Yajikita Siblings, Kanata finally reaches the downhill. The question lingers: Can he make the predicted comeback?

Trivia[]
- A very minute error can be found halfway through in the English dub, where Yoji Tanaka says that Nozomi Kitahara's number is '8' instead of '18' (with the actual no.8 driver being Jackson Taylor).
- At 14:12, a small error can be seen for a second, where Shun's GT-R is missing it's spoiler.[2]
- At 17:47, the subtitles of the Japanese Dub state that Taylor's car number is 9 despite the fact that the actual number 9 belongs to Shun Aiba and that Jackson Taylor's car number is 8. This mistake is also carried over into the English Dub.
