The Peninsula Manazuru (ザ・ペニンシュラ真鶴 "Za peninshura manadzuru") (Known as The Peninsula "Manazuru" in the Kodansha US version of the Manga) is MFG's third round course. It is a mixture of ultra-low speed sections set in residential areas and ultra-high speed sections set on bridges over the sea on the Manazuru Peninsula, with four multi-level intersections.

Information[]

The course is not affected by volcanic ash or volcanic gases from Mt. Fuji, but the lighting in the tunnels within the course is intentionally dimmed to prevent the memory of the massive power outages caused by the volcanic activity from fading away. As a result, the difference between light and dark when driving out of the tunnel makes it difficult to see for a moment, and combined with the narrow road width of the ultra-low speed section, the course is regarded by drivers as a difficult course to race on.

Among the super high-speed sections, there is a super high-speed S-corner that starts with a gentle uphill right corner and turns into a downhill left corner, similar to the famous "Eau Rouge" section at Spa Francorchamps.

  • This is one of the only 2 courses where all 15 drivers finish the race in Year 4 of MFG, the other course being the Seaside Double Lane.
  • A short version of the course appears in Initial D The Arcade as a part of an MF Ghost collaboration. It is known simply as Manazuru in the games.
