Sota Tsukamoto (塚本 壮太 "Tsukamoto Sōta") is a racer who participates in MFG. He drives a #395 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR GSR and is unranked during Year 4.

Not much is known about Sota except his participation in MFG Year 3, where he placed 96th in the rankings[2].

Round 1[]
Sota was seen on the final day of qualifying for the opening round. His position in the qualifiers is unknown, since he failed to qualify for the first round.
Round 2[]
Exclusively in the anime in Turn12, his Evo IX was seen parked at the Ashinoko GT Parking lot, which likely means he was qualifying on Day 6, alongside Kanata Katagiri and Fujin Ishigami. Similarly to Round 1, his position in the qualifiers is unknown, since he failed to qualify for the second round.
Round 3-5[]
Sota is never shown or mentioned after Round 2, which means he failed to qualify for every round or left the competition entirely.

- Sota is the only named racer who has never gotten into the "Divine Fifteen".
- He is also the only named driver who's rank was never confirmed during Year 4 of MFG.
- Sota is one of the three named MFG drivers to never appear physically, the others being Shintaro Natsume, and Takamitsu Kyogoku.
- He is one of the only two known drivers who ranked outside the top 10 to be driving a Japanese car in Year 3, the other one being Kazuhiro Maezono.
- Sota is the only returning racer in MFG whose car number does not match his ranking from Year 3 (as he qualified outside of the top 40)
- Sota is also the only racer in MFG whose Car's number was not shown in the manga.
