MFG Angels (MFGA, MFGエンジェルス) is a grid girl and idol group in MFG. It is managed by Uehara and aims to advertise and bring another layer of interest to the event.
Activities[]
Angels carry out grid girl activities, such as holding the countdown boards and switching position signs on the leaderboard. Between their duties, they take part in interviews by Uehara, which usually consist of a single question, aimed to bring out their character or personal preferences.
Before the final race, a mini concert can be held, where Angels perform songs, composed for the event. One of these songs is called "No Fear of Blind Corners" and is said to be placed third in the Oricon chart.
After the race, podium placed racers get a kiss on the cheek from an Angel of their choice. If the pilot doesn't request anyone specific, a random Angel is assigned.
Media[]
The official MFG broadcast features a special "Angel Cam", which is always filming the Angels while they are on duty. Viewers can switch to this camera anytime and some prefer it to spectating the races, especially during qualifiers. This camera is known for it's questionable angles, being a part on MFG's fan-service.
Angels also have a special section of the official MFG website, where every member has their own profile, listing their age, birthplace and other various info. Every season, viewers can participate in a poll, voting for Angels they want to see in the next year of MFG. To place higher in that poll, some Angels utilize certain fan-service tactics to please viewers.
Uniform[]
The uniform for the Angels is different for every round of the season. Main parts of their costumes include an orange short sports top with white wings and a yellow "MFG" on the front, white or orange underwear, long orange gloves, orange boots and a white choker with a yellow heart on the front. The exception is the uniform for round 5 at Atami Ghost, which features a yellow and black sports top with white "MFG" letters, black underwear, thigh highs and boots, and white gloves.
Members[]
Every year list of MFG Angels (referred to as generation) changes depending on the viewer poll. Every Angel in the generation is assigned their own number.
In the 4th generation, some of the Angels are still unidentified.
