Kanata Rivington's Toyota 86 GT (known as the 86) is the car driven by the main character, Kanata Rivington. Originally owned by Ogata, later he lent it to Kanata for him to participate in MFG.
Specs[]
The car is a Zenki Toyota 86 GT, chassis code ZN6. It's painted in Lightning Red, and equipped with the car number "86".
Engine[]
It is equipped with a 4U-GSE (the Toyota version of Subaru's FA20D), a Naturally-Aspirated Engine that is mated to a 6-speed Toyota TL70 (Aisin AZ6) manual. The 86 originally made 200PS during round 1-2.[2] The 86 was later equipped with a turbocharger in round 3 to produce 300PS.[3] The car's engine was later overhauled (Rebalancing and High Load Parts), though stats were never stated.

Trivia[]
- Kanata Katagiri's Toyota 86 GT appears in Initial D Arcade Stage Zero as the MFG Toyota 86 GT Kanata Katagiri Specification (ZN6).
- The car was later featured in Initial D The Arcade's MF Ghost collaboration.
- Prior to the Spec III turbo upgrade, this was the weakest car in the series. However after the turbo upgrade, the vehicle made 300PS, with Nozomi's 4C, and potentially, Mai's GR86 taking its place of being the car with the least horsepower in the series.
- This car initially featured headlight washers in the first MF Ghost Anime PV, which were not in the manga. They were removed in the later PVs.
- The Spec III 86 is modelled after Shuichi Shigeno's personal Toyota 86 GT.[26]
- The Spec IV 86 GT is modelled after the Toyota Corolla Nagoya Co. and GR Garage Nisshin 14R 86 GT demo-car.[27]
- As such, this is the only Toyota/Lexus car in the series to not have a BLITZ Aero Speed R-Concept bodykit.
- In Turn07, the 86's tailights were incorrectly shown as clear in one scene[28]
