Hiroya Okuyama (奥山 広也 "Okuyama Hiroya") is an auto mechanic who runs a auto shop called "Spiral Zero", located in Odawara and named after a street racing team he used to be in charge of.
Biography[]
Okuyama is respected by Shun Aiba as the man who helped him make his breakthrough. Through his introduction, Okuyama meets Kanata Rivington and Ogata, and starts tuning the 86 in the second round. His plan is to upgrade the suspension firstly, and then work on strengthening the engine. After the second round, he fits the 86 with a turbo kit.
Kanata's mentor, Takumi Fujiwara, defeated him badly when he was a racer, and he holds him in high esteem, saying, "There is no racer of that generation in the northern Kanto region who doesn't know him".
Okuyama is former street racer. He used to be a part of a team called "Team Spiral" and drove Nissan Silvia S15.

Etymology[]
- The name Hiroya means "wide, broad, spacious" (広) (hiro) and "to be, also" (也) (ya).
- Hiroya's surname Okuyama means "remote mountain, mountain recesses" (奥山).
Trivia[]
- Aiba's GT-R is tuned in Okuyama's auto shop.
- Okuyama first appears in the author's previous manga about street racing, Initial D. He drove a S15 Silvia.
- Okuyama is the first returning character to be given an original English voice actor in MF Ghost, due to Initial D Fifth Stage and Final Stage not receiving an English dub.
- Hiroya is the only returning character from Initial D to be featured on the cover art of an MF Ghost manga volume.
