The Race Begins to Move (レースが動き出す Rēsu ga ugokidasu) is the one hundred and twenty-sixth chapter of MF Ghost.
Summary[]
Shun has succeeded in overtaking the Yashi-Kita siblings and is now pulling away in 11th place. Kyoko then changes the names on the leaderboard and is proud about Shun's success. After doing so, Kyoko is interviewed by Uehara about her plans for summer. Kyoko is just going to spend her summer drinking booze, Uehara then reminds her to have more extravagant plans than just drinking booze since she's carrying the image as the leader of the MFG Angels.
Coming up to the 180° U-turn, Car #86 shows no sign of speed loss and is now able to shift from 1st to 2nd gear which has shocked Tanaka as in the previous laps, Kanata was unable to do such a thing. Kanata's elbow pain from earlier is now no longer present, Ogata suspected that this is due to the effect of endorphin taking place, but Okuyama felt something strange from the scenario, since endorphin is not powerful enough to completely eliminate pains. To have a pain completely gone out of nowhere, that part might be in a life-threatening scenario already, but Okuyama believes that this isn't the case with Kanata.
Back at the race, Sena is still behind Ishigami in 4th. Even though Sena thought that his Toyota GR Supra tuned by Shuichi Matsumoto was already the strongest, his acceleration and braking is still behind the Porsche due to the advantage in traction, therefore Sena has to find another opportunity in the "Peninsula" section of the course.
Akaba has caught up with Kouki Sawatari and Michael Beckenbauer. Since Michael has overdone his attempt to defend 1st place, Sawatari thought this might be an opportunity to arrange a plan to attack Michael using Akaba.
Since the "Peninsula" section of the course consist of several sections that involves constant acceleration and deceleration, Sena is still struggling to find an opening against Ishigami who is in a Porsche 911 GT3 with more superior traction and braking compared to his Toyota GR Supra. Further at the back, Kanata has caught up with Daigo and is right on his tail.
