Aiba vs. Yanagida (カナタ vs. 大谷 "Aiba vs. Yanagida") is the sixty-seventh chapter of MF Ghost.
Summary[]
The final 3 drivers soon enter into Sector 2, with Nozomi in 13th, Kakeru in 14th and Takamitsu in 15th. At Kakeru's booth, Yamatani notes that Kakeru isn't advancing his pace, with Kakeru relaying back that he's got no grip and can't go any faster without spinning out. Yamatani then notes that Kakeru's Exige's suspension is on a more stiffer setting, whilst Nozomi's 4C is on a softer suspension, allowing her to go through the course without any issues. Kakeru then relays back that he's having trouble trying to advance and not let the M4 behind him overtake him, and hopes that the rain starts calming down. Yamatani then notes that tuning suspension for the MFG courses is hard, especially when its raining.
The Cayman and the A110 make it around the Port Kojiri Hairpin, with the GT3, 488, NSX, Huracán, and R8 all behind them. Further behind, Aiba is hoping to impress Ikeda today, especially since he's a graduate from the Zero Academy. Aiba then notes that Yanagida is having trouble in the rain, and hopes to overtake the M6 on a long uphill straight. As the AMG, M6 and GT-R enter the Kojiri Hairpin, Aiba cuts across Yanagida's line and slips into his blind spot on the inside of the hairpin. As they approach the next straight, the GT-R pulls ahead and completes an overtake on the M6. Ikeda then notes that due to the M6 being Rear-Wheel-Drive, Yanagida had to take a wider line out of the corner, but thanks to Aiba's GT-R being All-wheel-Drive, he was able to take a more tighter line and pull ahead on the uphill straight. Tanaka then notes that Aiba was a pupil at the Zero Academy, and hopes to talk about him later.
At the MFG Angel paddock, Ren changes around the board, and Uehara then asks a different question from Marie, asking her what comes into her mind when the word "Masculine" comes up. Ren then answers that someone who is kind pops up first, which shocks Uehara as it was an unexpected answer. However Ren thingks that that kindness fits "masculinity" due to compassion.
Back at the race, Kanata manages to catch up to Taylor's 911 Carrera. Taylor then notices Kanata's incredible performance during the wet conditions, and hopes to take him on anyway Kanata likes to.
