The Rainy Day (雨の1日 "Ame no 1-nichi") is the fifty-fourth chapter of MF Ghost.
Summary[]
Kakeru Yashio continues his qualifying run for the Ashinoko GT race, with Nozomi noticing that he's slower than her on the checkpoint. Yamatani then says that it's not because Kakeru is slow, but rather she drove really well on her qualifying run. Nozomi then asks if Yamatani can yell at Kakeru to pick up the pace, with Yamatani declining as it'll only make Kakeru lose focus, however Nozomi grabs Yamatani's headset at yells at Kakeru to tell him that he's 2 seconds off her pace, which angers Kakeru. In the end, Kakeru finishes his qualifying run behind his sister.
The next day, the qualifiers for Day 4 were postponed due to the rain. At the same time, Ren and Wakana are walking through the train station, with Wakana telling Ren that she got to meet Kanata when Ren was at work. Ren then tells Wakana that she would've wanted to come with them, but Wakana reminds her that she gets to see Kanata every day. Wakana then says that Yuka and the other girls want to start up a fan-club around Kanata, with Ren being uneasy about it. After Ren and Wakana part ways for the day, she bumps into Kanata coming back from work, who's walking through the rain without an umbrella since it's normal in the United Kingdom. Ren then quickly shares her umbrella with Kanata as people may think he's weird walking through the rain without one. As they return home, Mayuko is angry at Kanata for not using an umbrella in the rain.
The qualifiers return the following day, with both Emile Hänninen and Yudai Sakamoto qualifying. However, neither of them could beat Kouki Sawatari. Tanaka then reminds the viewers that the Top 3 drivers from the previous race will begin qualifying starting with Kaito Akaba tomorrow.
The fifth day of qualifying begins, with Kaito Akaba beginning his run in his Ferrari 488.
