Seventeen Complex (セブンテイ一ンコンプレツクス "Sebunti ichi nkonpurekkusu") is the fifty-first chapter of MF Ghost.
Summary[]
Kazuhiro Maezono continues his run through the Ashinoko GT course, with his booth representative asking why he's constantly laughing into the headset, and that he needs to slow down as he's already ahead of the Huracan's time. Maezono however argues that the NSX wants to push him more and more, and asks his booth representative not to interrupt his moment. The first day of qualifying wraps up, with Kazuhiro Maezono on provisional pole, with Daigo Oishi behind.
The second day of qualifying begins, with Nozomi Kitahara being the first runner to go. Kakeru however is constantly telling Nozomi to pick up the pace and to finish atleast in 3rd, which angers Nozomi more. Meanwhile, Yamatani notes that the two of them constantly argue during the qualifiers, but Nozomi always puts down a good time.
At the same time, Kouki Sawatari meets up with Shun Aiba at the parking lot, with Aiba asking why Sawatari wasn't in the first round. Sawatari then says that the race was on the same day as his girlfriend, so he was in Shibuya during the race. Aiba then introduces Sawatari to Akimoto, who's Aiba's new mechanic this year. Aiba then says that Sawatari's a lolicon who only goes out with 17 year old girls, with Sawatari correcting Aiba, saying that he has a "Seventeen Complex", as his first love when he was in grade school was his friend's big sister, who he thinks was 17. Afterwards, his first girlfriend in 7th grade was also a 17 year old high school girl, who dumped him after a week. Ever since then, Sawatari has only dated 17 year olds, even when he was studying abroad in France, with Aiba calling him a "serious weirdo". Akimoto then asks Sawatari what happens to his girlfriend once she turns 18, with Sawatari answering that he dumps her, with sends Aiba into a laugh as he only dates mature girls, with Sawatari telling him not to underestimate a 17 year old girl.
Sawatari then sets off on his qualifying lap, with Aiba telling to not lose out to Maezono out there. Aiba then tells Akimoto that Sawatari's a really fast driver, especially on technical courses. Aiba then says he could be a potential rival to Beckenbauer, but he doesn't have any desire to improve, as Sawatari only races in MFG to earn money. Aiba then notes that he would need to be careful, as Kanata could also be a threat to him, as Aiba is 25 Years old.
Sawatari pulls up to the starting line of the Ashinoko GT course, and notes that due to him missing the Season Opener, he needs to score high to keep Sana in luxury.
