Peaceful Days (平和な日常 "Heiwana nichijō") is the fourty-fifth chapter of MF Ghost. This chapter also serves as the first chapter of the "Round 2 Qualification and Race Arc" of the series.
Summary[]
The next day after the opening round concluded, Kanata is taking a jog through Fujisawa in the early morning, stopping by the sea to take a break and marvel at the Pacific Ocean. He then notes about how warm May in Japan is, as normally it's cold in England during that time of year. Meanwhile, Ren gets up for her extra classes, but bumps into Kanata coming out of the shower, which shocks Ren and tries closing the door due to Kanata wearing only a towel in the shower. Mayuko then reminds Ren to get to school on-time, with Kanata also leaving to go to the convenience store. As they exit the house, Kanata mistakes Ren going to extra clases, as back in the UK, those were for people who got low test scores in. Ren then corrects Kanata, as she is actually a top student, but her job makes her miss too many classes.
As Kanata and Ren walk through the city, Ren tells Kanata about how she saw him race, with Kanata apologising that he hid it from her family, especially from Mayuko, who doesn't like his racing too much. Ren then tries to tell Kanata that she's an MFG Angel, but gets interrupted by Ogata, who tells Kanata to meet him at his shop by around 1:00PM, due to the engineer Shun introduced to Ogata yesterday will be arriving to talk about the updates to the 86 for the next round. Ogata then gets confused on who's following Kanata, with Ren re-introducing herself to him, which almost makes Ogata fall off his scooter. Ogata is shocked about how much Ren grew overtime, and asks if she got any work done to her, which angers Ren and punches him in the stomach. Ogata then leaves and reminds Kanata to meet him at 1:00PM, which excites Kanata due to the 86 getting upgraded, but also angers Ren as she missed her chance to tell Kanata that she is an MFG Angel.
