The Grand Finale (フィナール "Fināru") is the fourty-fourth chapter of MF Ghost. This chapter also serves as the final chapter of the "Round 1 Qualification and Race Arc" of the series.
Summary[]
Kanata manages to pass Taylor on the final corner, with Taylor noting that he used up the remainder of his tire's grip on the Kamaboko Straight, and notes that once Kanata starts driving a more competitive vehicle, he'll upset MFG's balance of power.
After the race concludes, the Awards Ceremony begins. Ogata is shocked that both him and Kanata earned 4 million yen each, which is more than his shop's yearly sales. Kanata then asks Aiba why Beckenbauer isn't on the podium, with Aiba noting that Beckenbauer always ditches the ceremonies. Ishigami then gets a kiss from Kyoko, with Akaba getting a kiss from Mami, Aiba then notes that it's good that nobody picked No.7. Ren is embarrassed about the posibility of kissing anyone other than Kanata in the Ceremony. Taylor then greets Kanata after the race, promising that he'll get back at him on the next round. Nozomi then cuts in to give Kanata a hug, which Kanata is not good at. However Nozomi gives one to Kanata anyways, which angers Ren.
The drivers then pack up from the course, with Aiba inviting Kanata and Ogata to his team's wrap-up party at the Horumon, Kanata and Ogata then accept that offer. Meanwhile, Kakeru and Nozomi discuss that next year, MFG will add an additional 2 races and 5 driver slots to the events, alongside increasing the race winning price to 150 Million Yen. Nozomi then dreams that she'll earn a lot of money if she and Kanata get married, with Kakeru agreeing on that.

Notes & Trivia[]
- Despite him competing in the race, Shintaro Natsume was oddly not labeled on the Race Results, likely due to not being able to finish the race. This was fixed in the anime.
- The anime added an additional scene of the Awards Ceremony that also revealed Kouki Sawatari's car.
- In the manga, Kakeru and Nozomi's discussion happens outside directly after the first round is over. Whilst in the anime, their discussion happens in a cafe between the first and second rounds.
