The Last Leg (最終局面 "Saishū kyokumen") is the fourty-third chapter of MF Ghost.
Summary[]
Beckenbauer crosses the line in first, winning the Season Opener with a massive lead over the rest of the group. Meanwhile, the camera feed switches to the Higashi-Kazamatsuri section, with Daigo Oishi completing his overtake on Takuya Yanagida.
Meanwhile, the 911 Carrera catches up to the 86 on the Kamaboko Straight and overtakes it due to its more powerful engine. Kanata quickly gets into the 911's slipstream but chips the rear bumper in the process. Taylor is frustrated as nobody's done that in a race before to get as close into a slipstream as possible in his whole career. The 911 pulls away from the 86, but Kanata brakes later to catch up to the 911, with the spectators believing that a repeat of Aiba's mistake will happen again. The 86 and the 911 are side-by-side as they near the final major corner.
