One Day to Kanata's Entry (カナタ出走まであと1日 Kanata shussō made ato 1-nichi) is the fifth chapter of MF Ghost.
Summary[]
At Kamakura, Kanata and Ren visit the Kamakura Hachimangu temple in search of the location his parents' photo was taken. Unfortunately, this is not the temple they are looking for, so their plan is to visit every temple in Kamakura one by one. They also discuss the strange way the photo was taken and Kanata talks about his feelings of actually walking around Kamakura. Ren invites Kanata to pray at a shrine and after that they continue the tour.
Later they end up on Komachi street in Kamakura, where Ren notices the attention Kanata receives from women around him and becomes jealous. They stop for a drink at a café, where Kanata notices a sign seeking part-time workers. Kanata wants to get a job and move out from Saionji Residence, to the surprise of Ren. She remarks that he can stay with them as long as he needs and that her mom would be disappointed if he leaves them.
In Odawara, during the 6th day of preliminaries, we see Daigo Oishi's qualification run. His booth assistant notices his slow pace, to which Daigo argues that he can't step on the accelerator. The blames his performance on the "Grip-to-Weight" ratio rule. Narration explains that only top-15 qualifiers can get to the final race, thus receiving a nickname "Divine Fifteen".
